Wilson KPro Tour

WILSON K Factor KPro Open 100 Tennis RacquetsThe Wilson KPro Tour is the successor of the famed nPro Tour. Being a member of the KPro Tour family, this racquet features the Karophite Black structure. This key K Factor feature is an evolution of the Wilson nCode technology which utilizes an innovational composition. The Karophite Black structure incorporates additional bonds between the SiO2 and graphite molecules which results in extra control and stability. With this improvement, it provided more feel and a much stronger, more stable racquet. This racquet model is slightly heavier than the racket it succeeds. The added weight will supply players with more power, its added stability fosters control, which together generate more confidence during matches. This remarkable racquet technology gives you the ability to thoroughly control your power with spin.

Ground Strokes

The new Karophite Black technology really adds to the racquet’s overall feel for the ball. This KPro Tour performs supremely from the baseline because it allows the player to control both power and spin. This became very useful when rallying with my opponent. I was able to successfully place the ball where I wanted. With this highly versatile racquet, I remained in control of the point while on offense. While on defense, it was much easier to get back into the point because of the racquet’s adaptability. Due to the maneuverability, spin and power come easily. When you want to use backspin, the ball stays low and skims the net beautifully, making it a lethal weapon. I could also easily out-maneuver my opponent with my high topspin forehand shots. Basically, since the new technology provides players with extra feel for the ball, they become more confident in their shots from the baseline.

At the Net

Up at net, volleys feel like they come naturally. The extra weight lends the much-needed firmness and stability to make volleys into winners. Like the older version, this racquet provides a great deal of versatility - maneuverability, power, and control. I found I was very comfortable at the net - increased feel and control. The control became a great addition to both my deep and drop volleys. Most of all, I liked how easy this racquet was to handle at the net.

Serve

The KPro Tour performed excellently while serving. Even though this racquet isn’t a heavyweight, it still has supreme power. The added control was superior when placing serves. I found it to be a lethal weapon when I’d kick serves out wide to surprise my opponents. It was simple to keep my opponents guessing where my next serve would be, and what pace or spin I would employ. Serving with this racquet was a piece of cake; it truly embodies optimum performance.

Serve Return

On my serve return, the racquet’s extra control aided the placement of my returns. It was easy to hit down the line shots. With this racquet, I was able to hit more winners off the return than usual! I found my confidence level rising, due at least in part to the great new technology, Karophite Black. With this racquet, all of my shots felt better.

On the whole…

The Wilson KPro Tour demonstrates the amazing technology of the K factor line. With the Karophite Black structure, this racquet provides an immense amount of control and versatility. It’s a superb racquet for intermediate to advanced players. The firmness and stability help players with their power and spin shots from the baseline or the net. Serving becomes an optimum performance with the KPro Tour. And the serve return, always a difficult shot, truly demonstrates the excellent control of this racquet. This is a great tour racquet that will become a dominant choice for today’s players.
